The Sanctuary

"I will remember the works of the Lord;

Surely I will remember Your wonders of old.

I will also meditate on all Your work,

And talk of Your deeds.

Your way, O God, is in the sanctuary;

Who is so great a God as our God?"

"The Order of Melchizedek signifies an eternal, divinely appointed priesthood that combines kingly and priestly roles, exemplified by Jesus Christ, and is superior to the Levitical (Aaron's) priesthood which was based on lineage and could not offer lasting salvation. Unlike the temporary and limited Aaronic priesthood, the Melchizedek priesthood is characterized by its unending nature, its divine appointment rather than ancestry, and its ability to provide a permanent and complete atonement for sins."

John 1:14

"Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need."  Hebrews 4:14-16
